Goolwa is a historic town located in the Fleurieu Peninsula, South Australia, Australia. It is situated at the mouth of the Murray River and became a thriving port town in the 19th century.

- Goolwa is the last town along the Murray River before it flows into the Indian Ocean.
- The town was originally known as "Currency Creek," but its name was changed to Goolwa in 1854.
- The railway line connecting Adelaide to Goolwa was the first in South Australia, linking the town to the capital in 1854.
- The Goolwa Barrages, a series of weirs built across the Murray Mouth, were constructed in the 1940s and 1950s to control water flow and prevent seawater from entering the river.
- Goolwa was a major shipbuilding center in the 19th century. The famous steamboat PS Oscar was built in Goolwa in 1908 and operated on the Murray River until the 1950s.
- The Goolwa Regatta Week, a popular boating event, has been held annually since 1866 and includes yacht racing, paddleboat races, and rowing competitions.
- The town is home to the Goolwa Motor Museum, which displays a collection of vintage and classic automobiles.
